If you desire, I am trained in Christian Counseling, including walking with people through religious trauma and ‘church-hurt’. There are, sadly, prolific stories of church or religious leaders leading others astray, abusing, and masking narcissism in the name of religion. I also have experience working with an overseas organization and training in different religions and differentiating between faith, religion, and spirituality. As a foster and adoptive parent with a trauma-informed lens, it is my honor to come alongside others who are walking through a similar journey. The foster care and adoption process can hold such a rollercoaster of emotions, trauma, disappointments, and mixed sorrow and joy. I would be honored to come alongside you as you go through it too.
Prepare-Enrich Trained Facilitator
If you are interested in couples therapy, I use the Prepare-Enrich assessment program to guide our time. This allows each person to take an assessment that takes into account family history, conflict styles, communication, sexual intimacy, and several more to compare with the other partner. We use the results to guide our time, bringing awareness to differences to work on and celebrating strengths.
